As the valedictorian of her university cohort, Wen Yan holds a Bachelor's degree in music performance and is a member of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society of the Republic of China. The membership recognizes and honors those who are the top 1% of undergraduate graduands in each university based on the cumulative grade prior to the semester of graduation as well as the excellence in moral conduct. Wen Yan also holds an LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music) in Piano Performance, a Grade 8 (ABRSM) in Viola Performance and a Grade 8 (ABRSM) with Distinction in Music Theory. Upon graduation from the A-Level H2 and H3 Music Programme in Dunman High School (DHS), she had received offers to further her music studies at RCM, RNCM, RBC and RWCMD in the UK, as well as Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan, where she has taken courses in performance, composition, Orff Education, piano pedagogy, acting, chamber music, digital music, recording, jazz and more....
