A Little About Me: 

As a passionate musician with years of experience in both teaching and performance, I have been fortunate to receive recognition for my work in various musical fields. Below are some of the key milestones and achievements that have shaped my musical journey.

💐 More than 6 years of experience as a piano and theory instructor and teacher, conducting individual and group classes of students ranging from 4 to over 50

💐 Bachelor of Arts in Music (Piano Performance) 

💐 Member by invitation of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society of Taiwan

💐 Debuted as solo pianist, accompanist, collaborative pianist and choir pianist in both Singapore and Taiwan

💐 Numerous performances for various occasions in both Singapore and Taiwan, including solo concerts, duet performances, chamber concerts, ensemble performances, masterclasses, and wedding gigs

💐 8 Taiwan Academic Excellence Awards (Music Department) attained within 4 years in Taiwan: six 1st place awards, one 2nd place award, and one 3rd place award

💐 Pianist for both the Soochow University Choir in Taiwan and Pei Chun Public School in Singapore

💐 More than 12 years of experience as a piano accompanist (Concerts, ABRSM examinations, college, O-level, A-level and university examinations)

💐 Recipient of scholarships and offers from Royal College of Music, Royal Northern College of Music, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (United Kingdom)

💐 Graduated from the A-Level H2 and H3 Music Programme of Dunman High School

As the valedictorian of her university cohort, Wen Yan holds a Bachelor's degree in music performance and is a member of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society of the Republic of China. The membership recognizes and honors those who are the top 1% of undergraduate graduands in each university based on the cumulative grade prior to the semester of graduation as well as the excellence in moral conduct.  Wen Yan also holds an LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music) in Piano Performance, a Grade 8 (ABRSM) in Viola Performance and a Grade 8 (ABRSM) with Distinction in Music Theory. Upon graduation from the A-Level H2 and H3 Music Programme in Dunman High School (DHS), she had received offers to further her music studies at RCM, RNCM, RBC and RWCMD in the UK, as well as Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan, where she has taken courses in performance, composition, Orff Education, piano pedagogy, acting, chamber music, digital music, recording, jazz and more....
